For those wondering about Wheatenridge Kennel, a few years ago Diane Waters decided that after nearly 40 years of breeding and raising Rhodesian Ridgebacks and many years co-breeding Whippets with Terry Taft (Baccarat), it was time to retire from active breeding. Diane continues to be involved in the co-ownership and breeding of Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Whippets with us. Diane has decided to let her personal website lapse however she wished to remain available to all her previous friends and clients. We created this page for Wheatenridge updates, and to have a photo gallery of the past history of Diane's kennel.
As of 2016 Diane still remains active in the world of purebred dogs, including her breed clubs and as show chair for both all breed and specialty shows. Diane's grand-daughter Danielle is our junior handler and we all have a lot of fun as we continue on the tradition of breeding and showing quality dogs and attending events together such as specialties in the US and Canada. It is our hope that one day Danielle will carry on her grandmother's prefix of Wheatenridge. If you would like to reach Diane, she would love to hear from you.
